Did You Know That Chad Kroeger & Avril Lavigne Are Engaged?

I don’t know about any of you, but I had no idea that Chad Kroeger (lead singer of Nickelback) and Avril Lavigne were engaged. I was listening to the radio this morning while driving into the office and heard the news.

The couple have been dating now for over six months (probably the most quiet celebrity relationship in a very long time) and they are engaged to be married by the end of the year.

The two first met in February when they got together to co-write a song for Ms. Lavigne’s upcoming studio album. While writing the song a “romantic relationship blossomed”.

Word on the street is that Chad popped the question on August 8th, presenting Avril with a stunning 14-carat diamond ring (platinum-set pear-shape diamond with half moons) that was designed by Caryn Alpert. This will be Chad’s first marriage and the second marriage for Avril who was married to Sum 41 singer, Deryck Whibley.

Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux Are Engaged!

BOOM! Just like that Jen Aniston and her beau of eighteen months, Justin Theroux are engaged. This comes as quite a surprise to many as there were rumors flying all around earlier this month that the two’s relationship was on the rocks, but I guess the rumors have officially been put to rest.

Mr. Theroux popped the question to Ms. Aniston on Friday and Jennifer’s rep confirms that it was an especially happy day for the both of them.

Justin proposed to Jen on his birthday with a huge emerald-cut diamond that is a rectangle with tapered diamond baguettes on the side. The diamond is estimated to be 8 carats… it’s huge and beautiful!

As the world knows, this is the second marriage for Jennifer, who was married to Mr. Brad Pitt from July of 2000 until January of 2005 and this is the first marriage for Justin.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves Are Finally Engaged!

Word on the street is that Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves are finally engaged. Matthew and Camila had a fabulous Christmas and in fact, popped the question to his long time girlfriend sometime during the day yesterday.

Unlike most engagement announcements, He announced his via twitter, see picture below.

The proposal actually comes to many as no big surprise since back in March, Matthew told Esquire Magazine that he has known his girlfriend of five years is “the one” for a very long time. He said in the interview, “I found the woman… I wanna make a family with, hopefully live our life out together,”.

The couple met at an L.A. bar in early 2006. They and have two children: a three-year-old son Levi and a daughter, Vida, who is almost two.
